Welcome to our new site and building

Harris Primary Academy Mayflower has moved to a new temporary building on its brand new permanent site.

The photographs here show the development of the new temporary building and when the children and parents return to the academy later this month they will be truly impressed with the quality of the environment. The rooms are airy and bright and the academy has been provided with cutting edge technology to ensure learning is innovative and inspiring.

Miss Hanley, Acting Principal, said "It is truly exciting for us all to be in our own building for the first time, on our very own site. We are all looking forward to welcoming the children back now, so that they can be inspired too."

Mr Britt, Executive Principal, commented "It is great that out of the Year 1 classrooms, the children can see the footprint of the foundations for the new academy building and will be able to watch it grow as it is erected  throughout the year. Thanks to Harris Federation and Farrans (Building Company responsible for the new academy), staff who made sure that the build project for the temporary school building stayed on track throughout the holiday."
