Update on key events this week at Harris Primary Academy Mayflower
It has been a really wonderful start to the year at Harris Primary Academy Mayflower and while we love our new temporary building, we are all so excited about the new permanent building that is growing each week on the site behind us.
We were amazed this week to see the progress of the completed frame for the second storey. The children have loved watching the crane swing the structure into place and can't believe how high up the crane operator is as they sit in their cab above the site.
Next week there is a Reception learning journey afternoon, where parents can visit the classroom and contribute towards their child's learning journey (21st October 2015) as well as a read, write, inc. workshop for parents which will take place in our lovely hall from 2.00 p.m. on the same day.
Finally we are looking to hold an election for a parent governor. Can we ask that any parent interested in standing sends a short statement of no more than 200 words about themselves and why they wish to stand to Ms Burcham at v.burcham@harrisprimarymayflower.org.uk by 9.00 a.m. on Wednesday 21st October 2015.Please include your full name in this. The nomination and statement will then be sent to parents who will be able to vote before we announce the elected governor.
