Building Update

Some parents have expressed concerns because they have mistakenly read about the secondary free school and thought that Harris Primary Academy Mayflower, which is a primary free school, may also not be being built.

We can 100% reassure you that this is not the case.

 

Following the grant of planning permission for the permanent building Federation colleagues report that all the paperwork is now signed and the Federation is just about to enter into contract with Farrans to start the building work.

Farrans will also be managing the installation of the temporary classrooms for September and they will be submitting the planning application for the temporary classrooms over the Easter break.

That should take about 8 weeks so they will have permission by mid June to install the temporary accommodation, which will take us through the coming year until we can start working and learning in our exciting new school building, over the Summer holidays.
