The KS2 Pupil Board had the opportunity to visit the Mayor’s Parlour and the Council Chamber. The Mayor spoke about her duties and the children took part in a debate, which gave the children a chance to learn about local governance and develop their communication skills. pic.twitter.com/lsbakMmaRs

Platinum Jubilee Community Evening

What a fabulous week! The children (and adults) have had such a great time entering into the Jubilee spirit and have enjoyed celebrating together. Last night it was wonderful to see over 1100 people attend our Community Evening. The weather was great and everyone had such a lovely time making memories together. Thank you to the PTA who ran the cake stall and well done to the Bake-Off winners for their entries. Today we planted a mature apple tree in our allotment to celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee and at the same time buried one of our time capsules. As part of the celebrations, we have a small commemorative gift for all our pupils which will be given out when we return from the half term break.
