The KS2 Pupil Board had the opportunity to visit the Mayor’s Parlour and the Council Chamber. The Mayor spoke about her duties and the children took part in a debate, which gave the children a chance to learn about local governance and develop their communication skills. pic.twitter.com/lsbakMmaRs

Online School Council Meeting

Our class representatives on our Pupil Board met using Microsoft Teams to discuss ways to make Mayflower an even better school. They considered how we can continue to show our Core Value of Community whilst so many of us are learning at home and came up with some excellent ideas. Their ideas included creating a time capsule, setting up an Easter egg hunt and ideas to celebrate World Book Day whether working online or at school.
