The KS2 Pupil Board had the opportunity to visit the Mayor’s Parlour and the Council Chamber. The Mayor spoke about her duties and the children took part in a debate, which gave the children a chance to learn about local governance and develop their communication skills. pic.twitter.com/lsbakMmaRs

Identity Treasure Box Project

On Friday 21st April Harris Primary Mayflower invited our parents to attend a very special gallery, celebrating the wonderful diversity and history of our children and their families. Each child (and their teachers!) created an identity treasure box containing photos and items of significance to their family. The result was incredible and moving. The children displayed their treasure boxes and once the parents arrived they were incredibly confident to explain the special items within their box. This event was so successful we will certainly repeat this again in the future.
