Fabulous Mayflower Performances
The children of Mayflower have been wowing audiences all week with their Christmas productions.
Our Early Years pupils performed their version of the Fairytale Land Nativity Show in front of over 160 parents during two shows. The children loved signing and acting and they were dressed in the most amazing costumes. As one parent reported: "This was quite simply the best Christmas production ever. My child has been inspired by their school this year and now I can see why!"
Year 1 pupils performed "Away in a Manger" which was a production led by the character of Maurice the Mule who is proud of his manger and doesn't initially want to share it. This role was shared by 5 pupils who spoke clearly and acted with passion. Again every child was involved and the parental engagement and attendance was exceptional. Ms Hanley, our Principal, said "I am proud of our wonderful, talented children and cannot believe the high levels of parental support we get consistently at Mayflower."
Mr Britt, our Executive Principal came to see a performance on Wednesday, and was blown away by the quality of singing and acting. This has been a truly great term for our exciting new academy and these productions helped everyone involved to see what gifted pupils we are developing.
