On Friday HPAMA held their BHM Carnival and Community Evening. There was a buzz around the academy as the children prepared for the Carnival, creating flags, headpieces and necklaces and getting dressed into some fantastic costumes. pic.twitter.com/i4akhZro86

The KS2 Pupil Board had the opportunity to visit the Mayor’s Parlour and the Council Chamber. The Mayor spoke about her duties and the children took part in a debate, which gave the children a chance to learn about local governance and develop their communication skills. pic.twitter.com/lsbakMmaRs

The focus in Nursery for this half-term is All About Me. This week the children have been painting their self-portraits. This year we have decided to take part in Operation Christmas Child again, supporting the charity Samaritan’s Purse. You need to decorate & fill a shoebox with items appropriate for a child. Year 1 & 2 enjoying their Monday night Gardening Club. They are learning all about Bug Hotels to enable them to create their own for the Mayflower garden. Year 5 perform at the Royal Opera House!

Our Year 5 pupils had a fantastic day performing 'The Magic Flute' at the Royal Opera House every Year 5 pupil in a Harris School. What an amazing day!
