Dinosaur Workshop in Year 1

This week, the children in Year 1 took part in an amazing, insightful workshop called ‘Life Long Ago’. The children travelled back millions of years ago and became palaeontologists by discovering the wonder of dinosaurs. The children were able to locate and identify fossils from some of the most iconic dinosaurs in the past, using small brushes and lots of patience to discover the fossils in sandboxes. The children learnt about when each dinosaur lived, the time period they came from and what they ate. To finish off the day, the children were then introduced to baby dinosaurs during an assembly. The children were truly blown away by this experience and I am certain they will be sharing all their knowledge at home.
