The KS2 Pupil Board had the opportunity to visit the Mayor’s Parlour and the Council Chamber. The Mayor spoke about her duties and the children took part in a debate, which gave the children a chance to learn about local governance and develop their communication skills. pic.twitter.com/lsbakMmaRs

Amazing Author Visit

On World Book Day we also welcomed one of our own wonderful Mayflower parents, Stella Agwor into the academy to read her published book ‘Just say it, Ziba’. The children were so excited to have an author visit on World Book Day and had the opportunity to attend a book signing with Stella. The books are still available to purchase on ParentPay at the cost of £10 and we can arrange these to be personally signed by the author with an inspirational message. Thank you to Stella for giving her time so generously to inspire our Mayflower children, we really appreciate it.
