The KS2 Pupil Board had the opportunity to visit the Mayor’s Parlour and the Council Chamber. The Mayor spoke about her duties and the children took part in a debate, which gave the children a chance to learn about local governance and develop their communication skills. pic.twitter.com/lsbakMmaRs

Chinese New Year

This week we marked Chinese New Year at Mayflower. Our pupils took part in activities during the day and a Chinese New Year assembly. At lunchtime the hall was decorated beautifully with lanterns and bright table cloths and our pupils enjoyed a delicious Chinese meal. A huge thank you to our Manadarin teacher Ms Kwok for plannning such a great event.
