Year 3 visit the Science Museum
This week, Year 3 have had an amazing time at the London Science Museum. It was a smooth coach journey there and back, and the children enjoyed sightseeing the renowned landmarks of London from the coach window. When they got to the museum, they were able to explore the wonders of Science in different groups. They explored the space gallery, looking at a real moon rock, satellites, and a space craft. Next, they were taken back in time in the ‘Science City 1550- 1800’ exhibit, where they discovered how London grew from a bustling capital city to a global hub for trade and commerce. The children also enjoyed walking through the clockmaker gallery, exploring the unique collection of watches and clocks from the 1600s. Lastly, they took a trip around the world in the flight gallery, where they saw unique aircrafts hanging in mid-air.
