Black History Month in Music

In Music this week, the Year 3 children celebrated Black History Month with a music workshop! The children took part in singing and dancing to some songs from Africa and the Caribbean and they had a wonderful time learning about the rich history and meanings of these songs from some of these countries. The rest of the children in the academy will also get the opportunity to take part in some amazing workshops, where they will continue to learn about black history and the origins of some of the music. KS1 will be having their workshops next week and the rest will take place after the half term holiday.
